Background and industry experience
Maxwell is a Chartered Town Planner within Fisher German’s Infrastructure Planning Team, based in Ashby de la Zouch. He joined the firm as a Graduate Planner in 2021 after completing a BA (Hons) in Geography at Newcastle University and has since achieved an MSc in Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Birmingham.Maxwell works on a diverse range of projects for major utility companies, including Severn Trent Water, National Grid, and Exolum, covering everything from oil pipelines and water treatment works to electricity and gas infrastructure. His experience spans planning applications, site appraisals, listed building and scheduled monument consents, environmental impact assessment screening, and consenting strategies. He has successfully delivered complex schemes such as large-scale water pipeline projects, sewage treatment upgrades, and renewable energy developments, including solar parks and hydrogen generation facilities.
Outside of work, Maxwell enjoys travelling, playing and watching sport, and spending time with family and friends.
