About me

When did you join Fisher German?
When 1% of the UK population had internet access!

Why did you join Fisher German?
The people. At my interview there was a heavy emphasis on me as the individual and what it would be like to be part of the team, rather than either a psychometric test or testing my understanding of the degree that I had undertaken. People first.

What has been your favourite project and why?
Too many to mention, probably a reflection of age unfortunately. I have had an opportunity to work with a diverse range of clients and colleagues in a variety of sectors across the business. Most recently heading up the Operational Group and creating a cohesive culture where individuals are working more closely with specialists from across the group has been particularly rewarding. Taking over as Managing Partner is now my new favourite project.

Most admired, non-property brand?
Not sure whether you can call the All Blacks a brand but to me they have to be up there.

Top pastime?
Anything that requires physical exertion and pushes your boundaries, either mentally or physically. After years of playing rugby, the concept of being able to touch my toes seems quite challenging so yoga has become a pastime!

Best holiday destination?
Without sounding too corny, anywhere with my wife, two boys, daughter and two dogs (ideally with a bit of sunshine)

One item to take to a desert island?
If it is an item, rather than a person or animal, I think it would have to be a surf board! Always fancied being a surfer!

Who would you like to be stranded in a lift with?
Probably my great, great grandad, just so I could understand a little more about my family.

Favourite film?
Having grown up reading Tolkien, it would have to be between the Hobbit or Lord of the Rings. Everyone loves a hobbit!
