Our auctions are delivered exclusively on our dynamic online auction site, ranging from home auctions to land, commercial property and development sites. With a dedicated landing page, buyers can see all available property for sale in one location.
Whether selling a house at auction, commercial real estate or land, an online sale is the ideal way to sell in a fixed timescale. Most properties in the UK are sold by what is known as Private Treaty, where a seller agrees to sell and the buyer agrees to buy for an agreed price. Whilst this process has its merits, it can be very long and drawn out with risks of parties pulling out creating uncertainty. An online auction can enable you to sell in as little as 8 weeks from the time we receive the full legal pack.
There is full transparency that buyers see all anonymous bids on screen. We achieve exceptional prices on average 29% over the guide price.
An online auction attracts proceedable buyers ready to transact.
In short, an online property auction is ideal for all property types.
- Residential - all property from run down barns to, increasingly, vendors' principal home
- Commercial - from warehouses to office buildings, investments and mixed retail, all are suitable
- Land - we have had plenty of success selling small to large parcels of land, often at a considerable premium above typical agricultural land values
- Development - sites with planning consents, strategic land with future potential
We operate from 26 offices around the UK including property auctions in London, Birmingham, Manchester and Liverpool.
Buyers need to have access to funds before committing to purchase. In some cases, this may involve short term finance - we have a preferred trusted finance partner, Cherry Street Finance, who can advise the best finance options for you. Find our more by visiting their website.
No, we operate each sale as an individual listing. Each lot gets dedicated focus, without the rushed feel of mass auctions.
The technology behind our online auction platform gives us excellent data allowing us to report levels of engagement, numbers of registered bidders and the likelihood of a sale being achieved.
The full legal pack is uploaded to a password protected site. Buyers are required to register to access this. Registering is very straight forward, simply click on the blue 'Register' button at the top of the page and follow the prompts.
Yes. A second stage of registration is required to enable you to bid. This requires a biometric ID to be undertaken, as well as registering a credit or debit card and your solicitors details. You cannot bid until this is done. All buyers are therefore verified prior to bidding ensuring a secure transaction.
View the property on our FG Auctions website, register to bid, carry out relevant checks prior to making your bid. Ensure you have finances available to complete the transaction if you are the successful bidder.
Yes, all bidders are anonymous. The first letter of your Christian name will appear in a coloured circle alongside your bid, ensuring your identity is protected. All bids appear on the live website for complete transparency.
Our online auctions run for typically 4 weeks. Once the reserve has been met, the screen will display a message saying 'reserve met' with a tick next to it. Any bids submitted in the final 5 minutes of the auction will reset the clock by an additional 5 minutes. This will be repeated until bidding ceases when the timer reaches zero. This can result in the auction ending after the published time.
Yes, when the timer reaches zero, that is a legally binding exchange of contracts. If you are the successful bidder, you will have entered into a contract to purchase and will be required to complete typically 20 working days later (unless specified and varied in the auction listing).
