Background and industry experienceAmanda provides a broad range of human resources advice and guidance to both managers and colleagues alike. This includes performance management, complex employee relations and operational matters. Amanda enjoys her involvement with the graduate team. In particular, assisting with our graduate, placement and summer student recruitment alongide organising graduate training days and assisting with the APC enrolment and mock assessment processes.
Before joining Human Resources in 2012, Amanda spent 10 years working in Ashby's Utilities & Infrastructure team. This experience has proven invaluable in her HR role; giving great insight and understanding into both the business and its people
Amanda has spent all of her working life in the professional services sector at financial, legal and surveying practices.
What year did you start your job?
I started at Fisher German in 2002 as a part-time secretary to Adrian Webb and Clare Phillipson. I moved over to join the HR Team in 2012.
Why did you join Fisher German?
I was initially drawn by the diverse nature of the business. As my role has changed, and even after being with the firm for a significant length of time, I am still learning and challenging myself professionally.
Most admired, non-property brand?
Timpson. They have a fantastic business ethos and an 'upside down management' structure - the management provides support to their retail colleagues, so they can provide great customer service! They only have two values ; Look the Part and Put the Money
