New partner strengthens team fisher german banner

A leading property agency has appointed a new partner at its Doncaster office as it continues to strengthen its regional commercial team.

Fisher German has welcomed Nigel Nattress to the firm to help support and grow its commercial sector presence in the Yorkshire and Humberside region. Nigel joins the agency from the Leeds office of Colliers International where he was the partner in charge of the advisory and restructuring service line across the northern region.

He has a strong client base established over his 27-year general practice career, primarily at national practices including Weatherall Green & Smith, Knight Frank and latterly Colliers International. Over the last five years alone he has advised on more than £100 million of performing or non-performing property loans, either consensually, with the agreement of all parties, or non-consensually, through formal LPA Receivership appointments, on assets in the agricultural, commercial, industrial, residential, licensed and leisure property sectors.

Nigel, who is an RICS registered valuer and property receiver, will continue to work alongside owners and occupiers, major lending institutions, equity funds, loan servicers, national and regional developers, local authorities, accountants and solicitors, to provide innovative strategies and solutions to meet their individual objectives. These could be a rapid run-down sale process, potentially collecting out at a discount, or assisting in devising a longer term restructuring and turnaround proposal that could potentially collect out more or aid the survival of an ailing business.

Nigel said: “I am delighted to have joined the team at Fisher German following their expansion and office move to my home town of Doncaster last year. They have a very good reputation for professionalism across all sectors in the industry and I have been extremely impressed by their ethical approach towards clients and their business. I hope to utilise the specialist knowledge and experience I have gained over the years to further raise the profile of Fisher German’s offer across the region and developing new opportunities for the wider business and existing client base.”

Partner Kevin Benson, who is responsible for the commercial team at Fisher German’s Doncaster office, added: “Nigel joining us is exactly the sort of advancement we were looking for when we moved to Doncaster a year ago. Bringing both general commercial property expertise and restructuring specialism adds another dimension to the firm both regionally and nationally which is very exciting.”
