Fisher German’s leading commercial property agency team have successfully secured a significant deal for a site in Doncaster for online used car retailer, Cazoo as part of its new business model.

The business, established by Alex Chesterman OBE who also founded Zoopla and LoveFilm, agreed the deal through Fisher German working alongside joint agents Barnsdales who acted on behalf of the landlord, Doncaster-based property company The Ground Group.

Cazoo is to launch a new customer centre in Merchant Way after taking out a long-term lease on the circa 18,000 sq. ft. property and will provide a ‘click and collect’ option for customers purchasing a vehicle through the website, in addition to its home delivery service, with the business aiming to deliver cars within 72 hours.

The site in Doncaster is being launched as part of rapid expansion plans which has seen Cazoo open a number of customer centres across the UK this year, with plans to open in a further 12 locations in 2021.

Ben Flint said: “It is fantastic to welcome Cazoo to such a prominent motor dealership premises in Doncaster.

“The business has signed a long-term lease on the property which demonstrates a great commitment to the town.

“We received a large amount of interest for the site from a number of global car retailers which is hugely positive and shows that, despite the current challenging market, there is still demand for good quality space.

“Although we are in a second lockdown, we were able to successfully complete the deal and achieve a very good result for our client.

“We look forward to seeing Cazoo open its new customer centre and wish the business every success as it continues its expansion.”
