Charles Warrack has joined our Birmingham office as an Associate Director, who will specialise in the sale, letting and acquisition of offices has worked at some of the UK’s leading property consultancies, acting on behalf of a wide range of clients including property companies, financial institutions, pension funds, local authorities and private high net worth investors. He joins our commercial agency department, further strengthening the team’s knowledge and expertise.

While he will be working across the whole of the department, Charles will continue to specialise in office property, supporting both landlords and tenants to navigate the dynamics of the current office market, which now offers a range of exciting opportunities, as organisations begin to deal with hybrid/agile working. He said: “Fisher German is a growing force which is making a real impact on the commercial property scene, and I look forward to using my knowledge and expertise to contribute to this. It is a very stimulating and interesting time in the office property market, with occupiers both reviewing and adapting to the accommodation they require going forward.

The office sector has become a rapidly evolving and innovative marketplace, as more emphasis is placed on flexible working, and owners and landlords seek to optimise their assets accordingly. I will be working with occupiers to help provide them with the solutions which meet the future needs of their businesses, whilst also advising landlords on tailor made disposal strategies, in order to identify suitable occupiers in what is a very dynamic marketplace.

Mike Price, our Head of Commercial agency said: “We are very pleased to welcome Charles to the business. He is a very experienced agent in Birmingham who has expertise in acquisitions, disposals and lettings and will broaden the width of the services for our clients as we continue to grow the team. Understandably, a lot of businesses are going through a period of reflection and change, and the wider property market is currently providing exciting opportunities for property owners and occupiers alike. At Fisher German, we pride ourselves on providing the right advice to clients and adding Charles to our team of experts means that we are well placed to support and guide businesses through this evolving market.”

Juliet Richardson has also joined us at Bedford office as an Associate Director. She will be working across all aspects of general practice planning and has experience in the full cycle of development and planning, including local plan representations, development and site appraisals, planning applications and appeals.

She has acted on behalf of a broad range of clients including landowners, developers and public bodies and has considerable experience in working on new towns and urban extensions including the new settlements of Cambourn, Northstowe and Waterbeach in Cambridgeshire. She also has significant experience in the negotiation of Section 106 agreements and works for the organisation Planning Aid where her planning skills are used to support charitable and voluntary organisations, and outside of work she is a registrar and conducts wedding ceremonies in Cambridgeshire.

She said: “Fisher German has a fantastic team in Bedford, and I am very pleased to add my expertise to this. There’s real team spirit within the firm and the collaboration across its different specialisms is extremely strong. As well as continuing to grow the business in the Bedford area, I will be using my local knowledge to expand business into the East of England area.

Planning is a discipline which is constantly changing and evolving which makes it an extremely exciting area to work in. It will be interesting to see how the latest government planning reforms unfold, and how Covid will impact land use planning, such as public health and the importance of having access to outdoor space. There has also been an increase remote working, and we will soon begin to see if more people consider rural or lower density lifestyles over city centres.”

Liberty Stones, Head of Planning said: “We are extremely pleased to welcome Juliet to our growing planning team. She has a wealth of planning experience in both the public and private sectors, including the Civil Service.”
