We are thrilled that our young person’s networking events have been a success and have provided platforms to network face-to-face with other organisations in the industry including solicitors, accountants, and other local businesses.
In March and April, a range of events were organised by some of our regional offices to strengthen business connections and support younger team members to gain confidence. Harriet Helliar, a Surveyor based at our Exeter office said: “We really appreciated having the opportunity to host an event in Topsham. We had around 35 people attend, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves.”
Matthew Trembath, a Senior Surveyor based at our Market Harborough office said: “Organising the event was a real team effort. It was a great success and opportunity to develop further relationships with other young professionals in the area after a long period of online meetings.”
Alex Watts, a Senior Surveyor based at our Ashby office updated attendees on The Green Offset, our bespoke brokerage platform which seeks to connect parties who are looking for an area to site a natural capital asset, with individuals who have land available.
Tom Churchard, a Surveyor at Stratton Creber Commercial said: “It was a brilliant event, it was great to be introduced to some new people and it was interesting to be part of the discussions about natural capital and how carbon offsetting may look in the future.”
The young person’s networking events included a visit to Coton Manor Gardens organised by our team at Market Harborough, a visit to Burleigh’s Gin Distillery organised by our team at Ashby and a fun session at Mulligan’s Crazy Golf in Milton Keynes organised by the team at Bedford and Banbury.
Mary Eyles, an Associate based at our Ashby office said: “Everyone enjoyed having the opportunity to catch up and meet the team. It’s important that we get the opportunity to share experiences and information so we can work collaboratively enabling us to provide a first-class service to our clients.”
Anna Collins, Associate Director based at our Market Harborough Office, coordinated the events said: “These events give us an opportunity to reach out to our clients and connect with the younger teams within each organisation. I am keen for these to become annual events.”
