James Harrop Griffiths v4

James Harrop-Griffiths, a property investment and asset management expert will make the switch from client-side to agency-side by joining us as Head of Asset Management after nine years with GPE, a FTSE 250 Real Estate Investment Trust, specialising in investment and development of property in central London.

James will work between our offices in London and Birmingham as he aims to grow our influence in both markets and use his client-side knowledge to impart insightful advice to our investment and commercial property management clients.

James said: “I had a brilliant nine years at GPE, but I wanted to return to multi-sector, multi-location work which I undertook early in my property career.

“When the opportunity came up to work at Fisher German - which is really on the rise at the moment - it was too good to pass up.

“I truly believe the firm has a great opportunity to challenge some of the bigger agencies, who I believe have become a little bit comfortable with the advice they are giving to their clients on investment and asset management.

“I look forward to assisting Fisher German’s clients with realising the full potential of their portfolios and ensuring that their consultants are giving accurate and ambitious, rather than safe, advice.

“With my deep knowledge of the London markets and further afield, as well as my extensive contact book, I am confident I can help guide Fisher German and its clients towards significant growth.”

Guy Hemus, Divisional Managing Partner of our Property Management and Consultancy Division, added: “We’re really pleased to be bringing James on board at Fisher German, and we’re confident he can enable the firm to take significant strides in London and the rest of the country, at a time where market changes require increasingly sophisticated asset management skills.

“James’s informed advice will give our clients more confidence to make those difficult investment decisions, especially with the difficulties in the market around interest rates and ESG requirements.”

James is set to start work at Fisher German on Monday, February 3.
