Christmas Collage 01

The festive season is upon us, and our teams across the country have been busy spreading Christmas cheer while supporting local charitable causes.

In Stafford, our team held a Christmas Jumper Day, raising funds for Save The Children. The Hungerford team participated in charity shop Secret Santas and donated to the West Berkshire Food Bank. Our Bedford team supported the Christmas Tree Festival at St. Paul's Church, and the Doncaster team delivered toys to the Salvation Army at the Annual Chamber Charity Christmas Social at Doncaster Minster.

Our Bury St Edmunds team also had a Christmas Jumper Day, awarding prizes and enjoying a large panettone for breakfast. They designed personalised baubles for their Christmas tree, raising money for a charity of the winner's choice and this week, a team from our Ashby office wrapped presents at the Victoria Shopping Centre in Nottingham to raise funds for the Nottinghamshire Hospice.

Throughout the year, our colleagues have been involved in various fundraising events. These include participating in Movember, the Henry Sale Cricket Match, and the Three Peaks Challenge, where a team of 12 climbed Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon.

The Worcester office continued to support St. Richard’s Hospice with the Lights of Love festival which we have supported for six years and their 'Grow Your Dough' campaign, turning £40 into £1,500. Other notable events included an abseiling adventure by the Liverpool office, raising £1,362 for The Whitechapel Centre, and Worcester colleagues excelling in a Half Marathon, raising £1,600 for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Our team from our Liverpool and Manchester offices triumphed at the Liverpool Waters Dragon Boat Race, which saw more than 22 teams raise over £35,000 for Claire House Children’s Hospice. A team from our Ashby office participated in the Loughborough Colour Run, raising £375 for the local Living Without Abuse Charity and have also collected items for them on the run up to Christmas.

We saw twenty colleagues take on Severn Trent’s Mountain Challenge and four colleagues undertook a 68-mile cycle ride raising money for WaterAid. A Knutsford partner completed the Leeds marathon, raising a total £5,000 for Rainbow’s Hospice and three colleagues from Ashby, Doncaster, and Manchester embarked on separate marathon journeys, raising £10,000 for another trio of charities. Additionally, the Birmingham team donated Easter crafts to a local children’s hospital.

Our Managing Partner, Andrew Bridge, expressed his pride in the team's efforts, stating, “Throughout the year, countless colleagues have been involved with fundraising for various causes. Their dedication and hard work have made a significant impact on our communities, and I am incredibly proud of their achievements.”

Each year, our volunteering policy gives eligible colleagues time to volunteer or pro bono time which they can use to contribute toward environmental and social causes. It is wonderful to see so many colleagues supporting local and national causes.
