The festive period is now well and truly upon us and, our teams across the country have been busy getting into the Christmas spirit supporting local charitable causes.

Activities have included hosting collections for local food banks and raising money for various charities including an animal sanctuary and Birmingham MIND.

Our Doncaster team had a Christmas raffle which raised £150 for Thornberry Animal Sanctuary whose cattery was flooded and because of the flood, they also lost items they sell to raise funds for the sanctuary.

Nine team members went along to various locations in Yorkshire to support the Yorkshire Children’s Charity who needed help from volunteers to pick, pack and deliver gifts and winter essentials. They had received over 1,000 applications for Christmas gifts and a further 760 applications for clothing and shoes to keep children warm this winter.

Our Worcester office celebrated Christmas Jumper Day in early December with coffee, cake, Christmas quizzes and games and with monies raised, they made a generous donation to the local Food Bank in Droitwich.

Our Managing Partner, Andrew Bridge said: “Throughout the year, countless colleagues have been involved with fundraising for various causes, including Movember and the Henry Sale Foundation. Many attended and took part in the Henry Sale Cricket Match in late August and will be taking part in the Three Peaks Challenge in May next year when we see a team of 12 climb Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike, and Snowdon. Colleagues from our Worcester office continue to support St. Richard’s Hospice with their hugely successful Lights of Love festival and their Paddle, Plod and Pedal event.

Our volunteering policy gives eligible colleagues time each year of volunteering or pro bono time which they can use to contribute toward environmental and social causes. In the summer one of our associates in London completed a cycling challenge from John O’Groats to Land’s End raising £7,000 for Dementia UK. It is wonderful to see so many colleagues supporting local and national causes.
