Applications for our 2024 scheme opened on 4 September 2023 and close at 5 pm on 24 November 2023. So far we have received 585 graduate applications, three coming from those who joined our Insight programme earlier in the year.

In last year’s scheme, we recruited 35 graduates, 30 placements and another 9 people joined us on other training programmes. Our schemes enable everyone, no matter what their role, to achieve their full potential and go on to develop their careers through the firm.

Graduates joining us will be in the company of 147 graduates and placement students who have begun a rewarding career in property consultancy and are currently on our schemes.

Olivia Yates, Head of Graduate Recruitment said “I have been lucky enough to experience this first-hand, having joined as a graduate in 2016, and progressed through the levels to now lead graduate recruitment. I am proud to have this role and love meeting so many enthusiastic and talented people who are the future of the business.”

Graduate Planner, Isabelle Holliday, joined us in April 2023, she said: “I always wanted a career in planning and I knew of Fisher German and their graduate scheme. I really enjoyed the interview process, and the early careers team kept me updated with the progress of my application, which is something I learned not a lot of companies do. I'm gradually getting more responsibility at a pace that suits me. My job is mainly desk-based which I love and the tasks I get given are never the same. I joined the Insight programme and I would recommend anyone to do it, it is a good experience to meet the team, ask questions and learn about the wider industry.”

Graduate Surveyor, Jack Tyler, works in our development agency team. Fisher German came to my university to do a careers talk during my second year which is what gave me an initial interest in the company. He completed a summer placement and then joined our graduate scheme in September. He said: “It’s very early days but I have already been introduced to several projects which I will be working on. I have hit the ground running and started work straight away.”

Surveyor, Jack Dutton, joined us in September 2021 and has recently passed his APC exam. He graduated from the University of Reading in 2021 with a BSc Investment and Finance in Property degree, before joining the commercial team at our Birmingham office. Jack said: “I have had the opportunity to work across most of the primary commercial functions and I have been involved with instructions for institutional funds, property companies, public bodies and private individuals.” He added: “The onboarding process was very smooth and every interaction was friendly and helpful.”

Charlotte Scott joined our rural team in August as a graduate surveyor. She said: “I initially heard about the programme through friends who already worked at Fisher German before finding out lots more from the website. Every day can be different, since starting I have inspected a range of properties, everything from residential houses to agricultural land and fishing rights. Other days, I have spent in the office joining calls with various clients to discuss ongoing and upcoming projects.” Charlotte added: “I have thoroughly enjoyed my first few weeks and very much look forward to continue getting stuck in.”
