Background and industry experience

Harman's role at FG is Learning & Development Advisor, so he will work closely with Maria Hawley and various teams in the business to strategise formal L&D processes and keep them consistent throughout the firm. We are looking at implementing lots of new L&D strategies and to make them as fun and engaging as possible, so watch this space!!
Prior to joining the firm, Harman has been involved in various L&D roles, working on different projects across public healthcare, private healthcare and in a law firm (Shoosmiths). His most recent role was a cross between Business Development and L&D working for a software company in Leicester.

Home life mainly consists of relaxing (or not so much) with the wife and kids and watching the football!

About me

What year did you start your job?

Why did you join Fisher German?
I have worked in various L&D roles on a project by project basis before joining Fisher German. I wanted to join a progressive, forward thinking organisation where I can really make an impact within the L&D team and make the role my own. Fisher German ticked all the boxes and has a really exciting vision for L&D.

What has been your favourite project and why?
My favourite project was the SAP implementation at Shoosmiths. Shoosmiths were the first legal company in the UK to implement SAP as their finance system, so this was a real challenge from the offset which I was heavily involved in. I was responsible not only for delivering and implementing the SAP training, but also developing the literature which was used throughout the business. At times the project was a real struggle, but something that I enjoyed being a part of!

Most admired, non-property brand?

Top pastime?
Watching and playing football, definitely!!!

One item to take to a desert island?
Bit of a cheat...but I would have to say a George Foreman Grill! Solar powered, obviously!!!

Who would you like to be stranded in a lift with?
Diego Maradona! Legend!

What’s your favourite film of all time?
It would be a close call between either Goodfellas or The Godfather – but I would have to say Goodfellas...just!!!
