Our joint venture, LSBUD (Line Search Before You Dig) has been featured as one of the UK’s top fastest growing businesses in the annual ORESA Growth Index.
The Growth Index tracks the UK’s top growing businesses, ranking them based on revenue growth over the past two years. Safe digging experts LSBUD has entered the list for the first time this year, placing 52nd in the UK’s top 100 fastest growing businesses.
Companies featured in the index are from a wide range of high-growth industries, including fintech, retail and technology. To be considered for the influential list, organisations must be UK-registered and have made at least £5 million in recent sales alongside demonstrating significant revenue growth over a two-year period. More than 30,000 businesses were scrutinised before the definitive list was published.
LSBUD has been included in the Growth Index following a period of expansion and growth, including the acquisition of Select Surveys, the UK’s leading utility surveying and & BIM management specialists. By adding Select’s unrivalled surveying expertise, LSBUD can offer an even more complete service to the industry and to invest further in protecting people and underground infrastructure.
On top of this, more than 170 organisations, accounting for over 2.5m kilometres of pipes and cables, across the water, electricity, telecommunications and gas sectors are now LSBUD members, working towards a shared ambition of safe digging for all.
According to LSBUD’s recently released annual report, Digging Up Britain, more than 4 million searches were made through its free-to-use platform for the first time last year – a landmark moment for the business and the wider safe digging community.
LSBUD has also entered into a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government, in relation to the National Underground Asset Register (NUAR). A joint commitment has been made to improve the safety of those carrying out street works and reducing accidental damage to the UK’s critical underground infrastructure.
Richard Broome, Managing Director of LSBUD and Head of Infrastructure Management & Maintenance at Fisher German, said: “Our inclusion in the prestigious Growth Index reflects the commitment of our team, our members and the wider safe digging community. We are proud to be growing responsibly while continuing to invest in the service, expertise and partnerships that help protect people and the UK’s underground infrastructure.
“Every member of the LSBUD team has contributed to this recognition. We will continue to build on it by listening to our members and key stakeholders, improving the support we provide and finding new ways to protect the UK’s underground infrastructure and everyone who works around it.”
