Craxton wood has been secured with stock proof fencing along the boundaries and is accessed through a further galvanised agricultural gate.

The woodland is predominantly covered by established broadleaf trees, including Oak, Chestnut and Birch and is home to a plethora of wildlife. In the heart of the woodland is an open expanse of grass which surrounds a large pond that has previously held Carp and Tench, allowing a tranquil setting for fishing.

Further activities on the land include zeroing shooting on the 25-meter range which has had approval by West Cheshire police to allow the use of .22 LR rimfire rounds, with the range providing a safe space to shoot on.
