Last week saw the release of the third episode of our new podcast series, Fisher German Talks. Charlotte Brasher, from solicitors Trowers & Hamlins, joined Declan Oddy, surveyor and telecoms expert based at our Banbury office, to discuss telecoms leases and the impact the Electronic Communications Code (ECC) legislation has had on property owners since it came into force in 2017.

Charlotte, a property litigation solicitor, has experience in advising on a range of landlord and tenant issues in relation to commercial property and development sites, which includes opposed lease renewals and telecoms issues.

In this episode Declan and Charlotte examined the impact that the ECC has on property holders and how they can ensure they get the best deal from rental agreements.

The first episode, ‘Regenerative Farming’ focused on the future of farming presented by one of our Partners and Head of Agribusiness, David Kinnersley. The second episode, ‘Biodiversity Net Gain’ featured Alex Watts, one of our senior surveyors who works in our Natural Capital Team, who was joined by David Lowe from Warwickshire County Council to talk about our bespoke brokerage platform, The Green Offset.

All episodes are available to download on Spotify, Apple Podcasts, Google Podcasts, as well as other available podcast platforms and can be found by searching ‘Fisher German Talks’.

Laura Jane Taylor, our Marketing Manager based at our Ashby office said: “The podcasts provide a platform for industry experts to discuss key trends, changes in legislations as well as key market updates, delivered straight to the ears of our clients and others interested in these topics within the wider property industry. We are thrilled that the first episodes have been so popular, so far there has been almost 5,000 downloads. We have three more episodes planned in this series and plan to launch a second series later this year.”
