We have recently strengthened our London office by hiring a leading figure in investments and funding as part of our long-term strategic plans. Simon Eddy has been appointed Head of Investment Agency bringing 30 years of experience in national investment agency.

His career began at Lewis Ellis before moving to Richard Ellis as an Associate Director and then Lambert Smith Hampton as a Director. He then moved to GVA (now Avison Young) as a Director before returning to Lambert Smith Hampton in 2016 as Director of Capital Markets.

Throughout his career, Simon has been involved in high-profile investment and development funding for institutions, property companies and developers. Simon’s key focus has been on the acquisition and disposal of property investment assets, funding of commercial developments.

In addition to his transactional experience, Simon has acted as a consultant to local authorities, developers and investors, providing strategic advice.

At our London office at Becket House on Old Jewry, he will focus on the acquisition and disposal of investments and the funding of developments across all sectors for developers and institutions.

“This is a great opportunity to join an expanding company that has real aspirations to advance through strategic hires and is showing real purpose in delivering the highest quality advice to their exceptionally strong national client base Simon said.

“There is growth from all sectors of the Fisher German business and the synergy between them will create huge opportunities.

“I hope to bring experience, enthusiasm and market knowledge to the London team, national team and Fisher German. My ambition is to expand my role across all offices to enhance investment awareness and understanding.

Simon is also well-known for his role as chair of the Surveyors Sevens for the last ten years, organising one of the largest property charity sporting events of the year, involving 24 rugby sevens teams, 20 netball teams and tag rugby at Richmond in Surrey.

“Fisher German has been involved in Surveyors Sevens for several years, and I love the fact that Senior Partner Richard Benson and other partners attend every year showcasing the collaboration and positive atmosphere among their staff,” he said.

“I observed their team spirit and loved how everyone clearly got along. It made me think that Fisher German had the right values and ethos for me to consider joining.”

Mike Price, Partner and Head of our Commercial Transactional team, added: “Simon brings a wealth of experience and contacts, particularly in the industrial, logistics and alternative sectors, which will help Fisher German to expand our influence in London.

“Appointing Simon underscores our ambitions to significantly expand the business, and he will be able to share his knowledge to help our clients achieve their financial ambitions.”

Simon will be working alongside the existing Fisher German investment team, consisting of James Routledge, Dominic Evans, Miles Youdan, Oliver Deme and Sam Peters, along with Jonny Hosein, who has also recently joined as a Surveyor.

Jonny came to us from Alternative Real Estate Advisors, a niche advisory firm where he was part of the investment team, specialising in supporting institutional clients in the student accommodation and hotel markets.

Jonny said he was aware of Fisher German’s growth trajectory and its wider commercial teams expanding their reach and increasing their numbers, as well as the exciting projects underway in the investment team.

“I was keen to join a multidisciplinary property consultancy like Fisher German as it offers the opportunity to work across various teams and sectors,” Jonny said.

“I’m fully aware of its excellent reputation through my peers and contacts in the industry, and it is great to see existing investment work being originated from the valuation team as well as other regional departments.

“I am also excited to be working with other new starters; the new head of central London office agency, Ben Stanley, and James Harrop-Griffiths who is heading up the new asset management department.”

James Routledge, Consultant Partner, said: “Fisher German is experiencing a significant phase of growth and development across the UK and Simon and Jonny's arrivals align perfectly with our ambitious plans and the dynamic changes happening within the company.”
