The doors to our Bury St Edmunds office have officially opened to enable us to support our existing infrastructure clients and the associated projects in the East of England and provide a base from which we can further develop the business into East Anglia in the coming years.

Sam Parton, a Partner in our Infrastructure Services Division, said: “We continue to see greater demand for our services in the area, largely thanks to the infrastructure work we already carry out. Having an office in this region will support the work we’re already doing for National Grid, Anglian Water, Cadent Gas and UK Power Networks (UKPN).”

Sam, who joined the firm in 2010, has extensive experience working with large, infrastructure clients including National Grid, Exolum and Valero Logistics. He is joined at the new office by Surveyor, Richard Fisher, who recently moved from the Stafford office to support our growth in the area. Richard joined the business in 2018 and delivers land consultancy advice to several clients across the utilities sector.

Sam and Richard have also been joined by Project Manager Alex Baker who had previously worked with UKPN and GTC, and Project Coordinator Joanne Turner who brings her experience in project coordination and administration to the team.

Sam said: “I’m excited about our future in East Anglia, and it’s great to see our team growing so that we can continue to support our clients in this area.”

Sam spoke at Landmark’s Quarterly Customer Summit on Thursday 20 October and explained how we use Landmark’s planning alerts, a new service which will be provided to infrastructure clients in the future to help them identify any planning applications that are near their pipeline network.

Paul Marshall, Senior Geo-Data Consultant with Landmark, said: “We were delighted that Sam was able to join us for our recent quarterly customer summit to share the story of our successful partnership in creating a planning application alert system. We appreciated the work he put in providing quality answers to our questions and promoting our service and the project work that Fisher German is involved in showed a good example of how data can be used for insight analysis. We are thankful for his contribution and look forward to further opportunities to work with Sam and Fisher German in the future.”
