Manchester 1

Our Manchester office, which previously operated as Matthews & Goodman, is already experiencing increased revenues as a result of our merger in June 2022. As one of the city’s long-established specialist commercial property consultants, they have experienced significant growth after winning new clients and securing new instructions from being able to provide our existing office network with access to new specialist skills such as business rates advice and city centre property acquisition and disposal services, as well as leasehold enfranchisement and commercial investment expertise.

Together we can now offer clients and prospects access to enhanced capabilities nationwide as well as professional services not previously offered by the separate businesses. Our larger geographic presence and increased expertise result in a broader offering of tailor-made solutions for clients, combining local knowledge with national coverage and infrastructure. The team in Manchester has also been able to offer existing clients new specialist services, including sustainability and net zero services, planning consultancy, sustainability consultancy and a rural property services capability.

Our Manchester office, together with the Liverpool office, which also previously operated as Matthews & Goodman, join our Chester and Knutsford sites to form one of the largest providers of multi-disciplinary property services in the North West of England.

Partner, David Laws, said: “The merger has already proved great news for both Matthews & Goodman’s and Fisher German’s clients because they now have direct access to specialists across the commercial, residential, and rural property sectors. They also have the confidence of knowing that whether working with one, two or more teams of specialists, they are guaranteed an integrated service.

“Whether a client is an owner, landlord or tenant, they are facing an unprecedented combination of challenges. From escalating occupational costs and developing a long-term net zero carbon strategy, to reimaging their property to address structural changes caused by the explosion in hybrid working, there are a lot of changes in the real estate sector to contend with. Our combined skills mean that we are now helping clients wrestle with all these issues and emerging with a clear strategy, plan and understanding of what works best for their unique combination of challenges. This is why we are such a deep resource for clients based in and operating in the North West.”

As a result of the merger with Matthews & Goodman, our multi-disciplined team now has more than 800 proven property professionals, providing a national service from a network of 28 offices nationwide.
