Our residential agency team are marketing a diverse country estate, Little Malvern Court in Worcestershire, spanning more than 800 acres of land with a guide price of £13,250,000.
While Little Malvern Court, a Grade II* Listed 15th Century Priors Hall with a fascinating history, and its captivating grounds was already on the market, the sale has now been extended to include the whole estate, featuring a commercial farm, eight additional residential properties and 809 acres of land.
It is the first time that Little Malvern Court, which nestled in the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, has been placed on the market in almost 500 years.
The Priory and its buildings date to around 1126 when linked to the Benedictine Monastery in Worcester, but it is some 300 years later, after a visit from Bishop and Lord Chancellor John Alcock, that it started to form something akin to what stands today.
The Victorian additions were designed and overseen by the renowned architect Joseph Hansom who specialised in ecclesiastical buildings and the Gothic Revival style.
Further restoration and renovation were undertaken during the late 20th Century in which the house was sympathetically improved and modernised, and the main house has been painstakingly maintained in recent decades.
Little Malvern Court also includes exceptional gardens, lakes, a walled garden, tennis court, and pasture.
Outside of this, under the extended sale listing, the estate also includes eight additional properties of varying sizes as well as more than 770 acres of farmland, providing the opportunity to purchase a diverse estate with various income-generating elements.
Partner and a country estates specialist, Stuart Flint, said: “We’re extremely pleased to be marketing Little Malvern Court Estate. The UK market is really short of available estates of this quality, so it is a rarely opportunity for an acquisition with an excellent balance of residential property, productive farmland, extensive farm buildings and a historic principal residence with captivating gardens and amenity grounds.
“Expanding the sale to include the additional high-quality farmland and cottages opens the property to a very different audience seeking an historic estate with a diverse variety of assets. The setting is stunning and within easy reach of popular destinations such as Cheltenham, Ledbury and Malvern. It has excellent accessibility, with links to the M5 and M50, nearby railway links and is just a one-hour drive from Birmingham Airport.
The property is available as a whole or the Court could be acquired with less land, and the Estate divided into a number of lots.
