We are delighted to announce that our Director of People, Maria Hawley has been named a finalist in the British HR Awards 2023.
This year, just over 220 entries were received from organisations across the UK, and so competition to be named a finalist proved to be especially tough. Firms taking part range from start-up innovators to public sector heroes, tech superstars, global titans and everything in between. . Irrespective of organisation size, industry or resources, finalists shared how their initiatives are transforming the people experience and delivering tangible value for their organisations.
With a range of categories including ‘Best Overall People Experience,’ ‘Diversity & Inclusion Initiative of the Year’ and ‘HR Leader of the Year’ the British HR Awards 2023 sets out to discover and celebrate the organisations and individuals that are truly passionate about delivering a world-class people experience.
Maria said: “I am honoured and delighted to be shortlisted for this award. I have a fantastic team, and work in a brilliant business which enables me to be the best I can be.”
Senior People Manager, Amanda Davies said: “It’s great seeing Maria recognised for her hard work. She has always stood out because of her unfaltering compassion and the effort she makes to connect with employees at all levels. She has steered our team through several challenges and with 800 employees this means she must be creative and provide quick results even when working with a relatively tight budget. She is a real champion of the profession, her approach shows that senior leaders are human and in doing so she encourages others to open up and share their own experiences.”
