Matthew Allen, Partner and Head of our National Country Agency Team (NCAT), was thrilled to receive some fantastic feedback from one of our clients following the sale of her mother’s property in Herefordshire.
Matthew and Senior Associate, Ellie Lockwood in our Worcester team together with assistance from Ella Blankstone, dealt with the sale of the property which was put on the market in the summer of last year and completed in December.
Matthew said: “Despite a very changeable market in 2022 we have seen many successful sales. The property attracted around fifteen viewings and was sold to a London family looking for a property in the country. We are finding that the buyer market is still being driven more by desire rather than economic factors. Those who can still take advantage of more flexible working are looking to move further from the office and relocate to larger houses with larger gardens and perhaps a more rural way of life.
“Families are eager to use the current market and remote working patterns to their advantage. Many employees are now working from home at least for part of the working week and this has inspired people to relocate to find a healthier work-life balance. Locations like this one offer the best of both worlds, they are in the countryside but are still accessible for commuters needing to go back to the major towns and cities for work. Flexible working means people no longer need to be tied to their office, with a longer occasional commute an acceptable compromise.”
