Birmingham Christmas 2022 1

The festive period is now well and truly upon us and, our teams across the country have been busy getting into the Christmas spirit supporting local charitable causes. Activities have included hosting collections for local food banks, raising money for various charities through having a Christmas Jumper Day and doing a charity shop secret Santa.

In November, we launched an appeal to all offices to host their foodbank collection, to support local food banks in their area. Our offices in Glasgow, Bedford, Ashford, Ashby, Worcester, Doncaster, Thame, Newark, and Market Harborough all got involved. With only four colleagues in our Glasgow office, they managed to gather an impressive eight boxes worth of items to donate to the Glasgow South East Foodbank.

The Thame team turned their office into a winter wonderland grotto and handed out presents to the children of Thame and the surrounding villages. While doing this, they also sold raffle tickets, raising a brilliant £273.71 for Thame Food Bank, which is part of SharingLife Trust.

Our Doncaster office donated £110 to the Doncaster food bank, which distributes to three other food banks in Doncaster. Their money was raised through a World Cup Draw, the sale of Christmas paninis and a raffle.

This year, colleagues had the flexibility to get involved with Christmas Jumper Day in any way they chose. This festive celebration was a perfect opportunity to raise money and gather donations for a charity of their choice. Our team in our Worcester office combined their Christmas Jumper Day with the foodbank appeal, asking for donations of food items rather than cash for anyone pulling on their Christmas pullover - the turnout was spectacular across the entire office network.
