Rural business awards diversification fisher german banner

We have sponsored the Rural Business Awards (RBA) since they were launched in 2015 and entries have now opened for 2023. Last year, Musgrove Willow, a leading willow grower and producer in Somerset, won the Best Diversification Project Award, for demonstrating a compelling justification for diversification they have established a strong position in their marketplace. The rural diversification award category recognises rural initiatives that have gone above and beyond to offer something different to their customers.

Entrants of the Rural Business Awards demonstrate how they continue to adapt to the changing economic and social climate by developing innovative approaches to solving local, national and global issues as well as offering opportunities to broaden income streams to ensure the future sustainability of rural areas and to help reduce the impact of climate change.

There are 13 categories and the entries to the awards close on 3 March 2023. There is no charge for entry. Entries are completed online, through the RBA website here

Regional shortlisted businesses will be announced online in April 2023 and regional winners will be announced online in June 2023. The National Final will be held in September 2023, and this will be a face-to-face awards ceremony, the first one since 2020.
