Congratulations to Ruth Ofield and Amy Bowden for being shortlisted in the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) Young Surveyor of the Year Awards.

The awards showcase the exceptional talent within the surveying profession in the UK and recognise those who have demonstrated excellence early in their careers. These prestigious awards provide an opportunity for individuals and employers to celebrate the highest standards of professionalism and innovation within the built environment. Nominations are made by individuals themselves or peers, clients, and firms.

Ruth Ofield, a Partner, has been shortlisted for Mentor of the Year. She advises on a range of professional matters in the Infrastructure Services sector, acting for clients in the water, electricity, and gas industries. She also leads our graduate team with particular responsibility for graduate recruitment
In this category RICS apprentices, trainees and newly qualified professionals aged under 35 years of age, are invited to nominate those who have supported and inspired them to progress in their careers.

Ruth said: “I feel really honoured to be shortlisted as a finalist, I would like to say a huge thank you for the nomination”.

Amy is part of our Development Agency Team and although based in our Knutsford office she operates across the office network. Specialising in residential development, she provides both development consultancy and agency advice to a broad range of clients.

She advises on development matters throughout the project lifecycle; initially identifying lands development potential, negotiating strategic agreements, assisting in monitoring the planning promotion and acting on the sale of land with planning permission.

She has been shortlisted in the Land (Rural and Urban) Category. This award seeks to showcase an inspiring individual who has had a positive impact on the environment, planning or in any aspect of the management of land.

Amy said: “Leading on the growth of the North West development team has been an interesting challenge and I am thrilled to have been recognised for my work. I am also looking forward to meeting the other finalists at the event later in the year.”

The awards ceremony will be held on Friday 4 November at the Royal Lancaster Hotel in London.
