As a graduate surveyor on the rural pathway, you’ll get the opportunity to work with a wide range of teams across the firm including our rural property management, valuations, property agency, compulsory purchase and compensation, minerals, and agribusiness teams.
Thanks to the diverse roles available on the rural pathway, you’ll find yourself involved in an array of projects and working with a broad spectrum of clients. This can vary from the management of private estates to national corporate clients within the property management team or the valuation of rural land and farms within the valuation team. Other roles could include advising landowners and acquiring authorities on compulsory purchase matters getting involved with the commercial appraisal, negotiations, and management of mineral and waste sites.

The role blends technical knowledge with interpersonal skills, ensuring you deliver the best outcomes for our clients while making a tangible impact in rural communities.
Your day-to-day work will be dynamic and varied, requiring strong problem-solving abilities, proactive communication, and negotiation skills. You’ll often collaborate with multiple stakeholders to deliver effective solutions across different types of rural property throughout the UK.
