Early Careers FAQs Application 02

From submitting your application to your first day with us here you'll find clear guidance on how to apply, what to expect during recruitment, and the support available for any adjustments you might need. Plus, you'll find all the practical info you need for your first day and who to contact if you have any questions.

1) Can I email or send a speculative application?

Applications must be submitted through our website via our online application system. This applies to all of our early career opportunities.  Speculative applications by any other method (e.g. CV/Cover Letter) may not be considered during the application window.

If you are looking for opportunities outside of our application window, please visit our website for our immediate start graduate roles or register your interest for future roles when they become.

2) What is your recruitment process?

Please check our section under Key Information, Recruitment process on Early careers | Fisher German page.

4) I have been selected for MS Teams screening call, what can I expect?

The MS Teams screening call is a video call with one of our Talent Acquisition/Early careers team to have an initial chat about your understanding of the role and aspirations and to check we have everything required as part of your application.

5) I have been invited to an interview, what can I expect?

Our face-to-face interviews are an opportunity to meet each other in person. You will meet with a panel interview where they will ask questions about your experience and things on your application/CV. So be prepared to showcase your knowledge and research of the role you have applied for, as well as being able to elaborate on your experience and skills.

We also recommend that you use this opportunity to ask us questions too.

6) When do you hold your face-to-face interviews ?

Face to face interviews will be held in one of our main offices, between December and early February. Dates will be allocated based on the role you have applied for to ensure your interview is held with the right Fisher German colleagues.

7) I’ve been successful for one of your vacancies, what happens now?

Congratulations! We will be in touch with you to finalise matters. This usually consists of an offer letter, followed by your written contract. That is all that is required prior to you joining. If you are not starting for some time, we will be in touch with you at various intervals before your start date and your new line manager should also be in touch in the weeks before your start date.

8) What do I need to bring/prepare for my first day?

Your line manager or someone from the Early Careers team will be in touch with you prior to your first day to talk through what you can expect on your first day. However, the main this is to bring yourself and be ready to learn!
