You will collaborate closely with an array of teams across the firm to ensure that our advice integrates professional planning expertise with a comprehensive understanding of regional and national trends, as well as local market sensitivities. You’ll have the opportunity to work with a diverse range of stakeholders and in a diverse range of environments ensuring that no two days are ever the same!

Your role will focus on delivering bespoke services, ensuring that every client receives a tailored plan that combines expert advice with robust and imaginative strategies designed to achieve their specific objectives. You will support team members in preparing, submitting, and managing planning applications, including drafting reports for various projects across sectors such as, commercial, residential and utilities and infrastructure.  

Building strong working relationships and managing projects with other professionals, such as architects, designers, highways engineers, drainage experts, and ecology consultants, will be crucial to your success as a planner and in achieving both your objectives and those of your clients. 

Attention for detail and innovation as well as communication and collaboration skills are key. You will have the opportunity to shape and influence changing urban and rural environments whilst also contributing towards the resilience and environmental sustainability of development.

Once you arrive as a graduate you will be allocated an APC mentor and doctor from our experienced team of Chartered Planners to help guide you through the process to submission to become Chartered Planner With RTPI.

Every year we take on a significant number of graduates in a variety of disciplines and as a planning graduate you could attend specific early career training these are valuable days where you can make connections across the business. days to meet your peers, learn and network.

The planning team collaborates closely with other specialist teams across the firm to ensure that clients receive integrated and holistic property advice – one team, one plan, one goal. 

Our planning teams are located in several  key offices around the UK. We strive to place our graduates into offices and teams where  colleagues can support you on your APC journey. 

You will be able to select your preferred offices on your application form where we have available roles. Please note you will be expected to be able to work from the office/group of offices as below:

  • Worcester and Birmingham 
  • Chester and Liverpool
