From 2 - 8 February 2026, New Homes Week returns, and this year it’s all about giving buyers the ‘Power to Move’. The campaign celebrates what really matters to today’s new build buyers: the freedom to personalise, the confidence to make informed decisions, and the ability to take control of their homebuying journey.
Our New Homes Sales Adviser Molly Poole and New Homes Sales Manager Ellie Lockwood caught up with some of our new homes clients to explore how they’re helping buyers feel empowered through choice, trust, and financial incentives.
Molly met with Jasmine Endersby, Marketing Manager at Cotswold Oak, to talk about the options available to buyers and learn more about why one of the biggest attractions of a new build is the chance to make it your own from day one. Jasmine said: “From flooring to kitchen finishes and bathroom designs to tiling, these choices mean buyers aren’t just moving house, they’re crafting a home that reflects their lifestyle.”
Molly added: “Personalisation is obviously a huge draw. Buyer’s love being able to choose styles that suit their taste and needs. It’s all about transforming that blank canvas into something uniquely yours before you even get the keys.”
Jasmine said: “We always encourage buyers to get involved early, so they can take full advantage of the customisable elements. Whether it’s tile colours or kitchen layouts, those decisions are what truly make a house feel like home.”
Ellie met with Darren Cutler, Director at Eden Homes, to discuss the importance of trust and to gain his insights on why confidence in a builder’s reputation and customer service are essential. He explained: “Buying a home is a huge commitment and we never take the trust our buyers place in us for granted. As a small builder, we take quality and trust very seriously. We make sure every home we build is delivered to the highest standard. Throughout the entire build and sales process, we have an established team who are always available to answer questions and provide guidance, to support our buyers from their first decision to buy, right through to when they move in.
We want our buyers to see and feel that quality the moment they step into their new home, confident it has been constructed with care, to stand the test of time.”
Jemma Phillips, Area Sales Manager for Lioncourt Homes explains how they support and empower buyers at every step. “For many, the buying process can feel daunting, but it doesn’t have to be. We’re upfront about costs, timelines, and expectations. Transparency is key to a stressfree experience.
“Financial incentives can make a real difference, whether it’s help with legal fees, contributions to moving costs, or included upgrades. When buyers understand what support is available, they feel more confident and more excited about their move.”
