The Team & Focus of the Role

We have a unique opportunity for a Surveyor to carve a niche area of expertise for themselves. We have become recognised in the industry for our mineral consultancy work and this individual will come into the team to help with existing workload & look to extend our reach in the industry.

Minerals is a fascinating area of the industry providing over 1 million tonnes of products in the UK every day and we have a dedicated team to look after it within our rural division. We’re looking for the next member to join this team, whether you’re an experienced professional who has worked in the area throughout your career or a Rural Surveyor who has an interest in the minerals sector then we’d be really interested in having a conversation with you.

This is a full time, permanent position which equates to 37.5 hours per week. The standard hours are 8.45 – 5.15 however we can be flexible on this, and we operate a hybrid working policy.

In return, beyond your base salary you will be included in:

Typical Instructions include:

  • Valuations
  • Mineral Estate management
  • Lease renewals and rent reviews
  • Options/leases/sales of mineral and waste assets
  • Sterilised mineral claims
  • Geological advice and mineral reserve assessments
  • Planning advice

The successful candidate will have...

  • Some experience (or enthusiasm to learn) within mining/quarrying sector
  • Property qualification/experience
  • Capable of independent work
  • Genuine long-term interest in the sector
  • Confident communicator
  • Strong team player across various internal teams
  • A natural networker
