History
The Methodist Church was opened at Easter 1927 by Richard Cadbury of chocolate fame, on a site donated by David Crudge, a local farmer. The stone came from Chadlington. The iron gates were made by Charles Blake the village blacksmith. Designed by WG Eaton of Witney in stone and with striking lancet windows.
The Church is located on the Kingham Road in the desirable village of Churchill.
The Church It is built in traditional style using coursed rubble limestone with ashlar dressings under a Welsh slate roof.
The windows all have pointed arches and are glazed with stained glass. There is a large open porch to the principle north elevation.
To the rear is a lean-to extension built in the 1980s, which appears to have extended an earlier (possibly original) smaller lean-to up as far as the southern boundary. This houses a WC, kitchen and a school room/ meeting room and is connected to the main sanctuary by a single door.
Gardens and grounds
There is a small garden area to the front and to the west side of the church.
