We have completed a major forward funding transaction to deliver 94 new homes in Derby as it expands into the single family housing (SFH) market.
Our development agency and investment teams worked together to advise Bellway on the sale of 94 professionally managed rental homes at Snelsmoor Village to real estate investment manager Long Harbour. It marks our first completed SFH transaction as the firm expands into the sector.
Partner, Luke Brafield, said: "Completing our first transaction in the single family housing sector is an important moment for Fisher German as we expand our development and investment services.”
"We have seen appetite for high-quality rental housing continue to grow, particularly in locations with long-term rental growth and strong employment prospects such as Derby.”
"Our development agency and investment teams worked closely throughout the transaction to bring the deal to completion for Bellway, and we expect to advise on further deals as we continue to support developers and investors in delivering professionally managed rental communities across the UK."
The homes are part of the wider Snelsmoor Village development, which sits just south of Derby and is close to major employers including Rolls-Royce and Toyota.
The masterplan for the site will eventually deliver up to 800 homes alongside a new country park and will help meet growing demand for professionally managed homes in a city where rental growth has outpaced many other parts of the country.
