Snowdon 2026 1

Last summer, members of our Bury St Edmunds office cycled and ran their way from Bury to Bedford, raising funds for The Farming Community Network (FCN) as part of the Big25 challenge. Building on that successful effort, the team went on to complete another fundraising adventure in support of the charity, which helps farmers, farming families and rural communities through difficult times and periods of change.

On 4 June, six colleagues from the Bury St Edmunds office took on Mount Snowdon to raise both funds and awareness for FCN. The climb built on the momentum of the team’s previous charity efforts, with fundraising supported through a dedicated JustGiving page as well as awareness across LinkedIn, internal work channels and FCN’s own social media platforms.

Aimee Rolph, Project Co-ordinator in our infrastructure land rights and consultancy team, said: “Our work with infrastructure projects is closely linked to rural environments and agricultural land. Supporting The Farming Community Network aligns with our dedication to social value and community wellbeing for the farmers who may need additional support. Farmers face increasing pressures, economic, environmental, and social, and by supporting FCN we are helping to ensure those who support the nation’s food security and rural landscapes are not facing those challenges alone. Many within our business have farming links, which means this support is not just professional, but personal, rooted in first-hand understanding of the realities many farmers face.”

The group taking part in the challenge was made up of Aimee Rolph, Nick Robinson, Harry Proctor, Toby Risebrow, Oscar Brown and Matthew Johnson. While no one from FCN joined the climb itself, the charity helped to share the challenge and raise awareness. In preparation, the team drew on the regular walking, running and cycling, which many of them already did, and the route was planned via the Pyg Track with a descent by the Miner’s Track. The route was around 14 kilometres and took just under 4 hours to complete.

So far, they have raised £405 for FCN and supporters can donate through the fundraising page.
