1963 Ashford B25

Our Ashford team set off on a 75-mile walking, running and cycling challenge for The Evie Dove Foundation will be joined by Evie’s dad, whose family created the charity in her memory. This is the final leg of our Big 25 Challenge celebrating the 25th anniversary of Fisher German, where we have seen colleagues across the business travel more than 2,400 miles between our 25 offices without using motorised transport to raise money for 25 different charities.

We originally aimed to raise £25,000 from the ambitious relay, but this target has already been smashed. We have pledged to match-fund any donations up to £25,000 from supporters, meaning that more than £50,000 will be split equally between the 25 charities.

Our team in Ashford were passed the relay baton by colleagues from Hungerford last week and have now begun their challenge over four days to our London office where the challenge began back in May.

The start of their leg was hampered by Storm Benjamin which meant a 13-mile run and five-mile bike ride were completed virtually.

The team has chosen The Evie Dove Foundation as its beneficiary. The local charity was started by Howard and his wife, Katie, after tragically losing their 14-year-old daughter Evie to a brain tumour. The foundation was set up to help save young lives and sick children by sponsoring the education and training of paediatric clinical professionals.

Madison Scott, whose husband Nathan, worked with Evie’s dad at a local business while Evie was poorly and is a Project Coordinator at Fisher German’s Bury St Edmunds office, said: “The dedication and commitment that the family has shown in creating the foundation even after such a tragic loss has been truly inspiring, and we wanted to raise money to support this charity to help more families.

Partner, Daniel Kinslow, added: “The Ashford office is proud to be supporting The Evie Dove foundation and helping raise crucial funds to continue supporting their incredible and important work for paediatric clinical professionals. We hope that our fundraising will continue to help make a difference to the lives of young people.”

Matt Paxton, a Trustee at The Evie Dove Foundation, said: “We are so grateful to Fisher German for choosing The Evie Dove Foundation as their nominated charity and we will be looking to allocate a paediatric hero to their fundraising.”

The Big 25 challenge coincides with Fisher German undergoing a major rebrand, positioning it as a pioneering, driven consultancy with trusted experts who share knowledge across the business and provide substantial added value to clients.

The firm has also updated its external logo and colours to reflect a shift in mindset, a change in its growth strategy, and its future ambitions.

Big 25 legs have already seen colleagues travel by tandem bikes and unicycles, swim across open water, and even dance in a conga line as part of the mammoth 2,400-mile journey between the offices.
