Linesearch - 5 million enquiries and growing
Linesearch has broken the 5,000,000 enquiries barrier and continues to attract new users on a daily basis.
This unique, free to user, on-line utility search enquiry system now has 35 members apparatus on its website, protecting over 30,000km of assets.
Simplicity is the key to success, allowing third parties to search the location of their works against a range of different utility owners' apparatus, including gas, oil, electricity and fibre optics. A response is received instantaneously allowing works to progress without delay whilst protecting individuals, the environment and the infrastructure itself.
Now in its tenth year of operation, Linesearch has gone from strength to strength, currently receiving in excess of 90,000 enquiries per month. With over 4,000 unique users ranging from councils to multi-nationals and private individuals to contractors, the site now forms an integral part in many organisations' safety procedures.
‘We are incredibly proud as a business of reaching the 5,000,000 enquiry milestone with Linesearch. The support of our members and users has been fantastic over the last 10 years, allowing us to continually look at ways to try and innovate and build on the services offered,’ comments Andrew Bridge, Head of Utilities and Infrastructure for Fisher German.
With our enhanced version of the website, LinesearchbeforeUdig, now offering an even wider range of services, based on user and member feedback, we are truly excited about the future and more milestones being reached.’
