Background and industry experience

Neil is Head of the Central Midlands Region working out of the Ashby de la Zouch office. Outside of Neil's office duties, his main work centres on his traditional landed estate management portfolios located throughout the East Midlands. He provides specialist advice to a number of private clients in the management and ownership of their rural landholdings, ranging from a few acres to many thousands of acres.

Neil has been advising a range of landowning clients over the past 15 years, safeguarding their assets through ongoing investment and careful management planning. The variety and diversity of work includes project management of renewable energy schemes; working on major residential development schemes; and whole estate reviews, all alongside long term asset preservation and wealth planning. Neil works with a number of other professional advisors in giving his clients the best possible advice.

After reading Land Economy at Aberdeen University, Neil started out his career working for a National firm of Land Agents in their Edinburgh office. Neil joined Fisher German in 2003, having qualified as a land agent in 2002, and has successfully worked his way up through the business becoming a Partner and Head of Region in 2011.

Outside of work Neil enjoys all aspects of the great outdoors. Living at the foot of the Peak District National Park Neil is regularly out walking and running in the hills. Neil has a keen interest in food and wine pairing but still has a lot to learn!
