Background and industry experience

Matt is a Partner and leads building consultancy service delivery from our Manchester office. His work at Fisher German mainly centres around acting on behalf of both Landlords and Tenants in the private commercial sector helping them to achieve their property aspirations by applying strategic principles and bigger picture thinking.

Matt’s team works closely with both the commercial agency and property management service lines to maximise the quality of Fisher German’s offer to a wide range of clients. His specialisms include dilapidations, pre- and post-contract project management, and building reinstatement cost assessments.

Matt qualified as a chartered building surveyor in 2007 and has over twenty years’ experience working in commercial property. When not working he enjoys travelling, training, riding his motorbike, hill walking and being outdoors as much as possible.

Why did you join Fisher German?
I was part of the Matthews & Goodman team - the two companies merged in 2022

What has been your favourite project and why?
We relocated what started as a small cyber security start up in to their new 70,000sqft HQ building in Knutsford. The whole project team bought in to the vision and the story and it was great to be a part of.

Most admired, non-property brand?
Triumph Motorcycles / BBC 6 Music

Top pastime?
Travelling, preferably on two wheels.

Best holiday destination?
The diversity of Mexico takes some beating

One item to take to a desert island?
A Solar-powered DAB radio
