The Role

With our new Birmingham city centre office opening towards the end of 2023, we’re looking to grow our Commercial Valuations team and assist us with the next stage of our growth. Primarily you’ll be responsible for commercial valuations across the Midlands, have a keen sense for networking & ambition to develop our portfolio in the area and be comfortable managing a small team of Valuers.
 
This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Valuer to take the next step and have the ownership of developing a local portfolio whilst being a part of a national team. We’re great believers in progression and this position has a clear and defined path ahead of it. 
 
Our new team member will be based from our Birmingham City Centre office (Colmore Row) within our hybrid working policy. Ideally this will be a full time role (37.5) however we are open to discussing part-time hours (minimum 30 hours).

Duties will include:
 
• Deliver excellent client service to a broad range of clients.
• Proactive in business development and creating new opportunities and an ability to demonstrate a good track record in this area.
• Nurturing existing and creating new business relationships with banks, private and corporate clients, and professional contacts.
• Act on own initiative, work with autonomy as well as within the Valuation and other connected service line teams.
• Mentor and Supervise Graduates. 
 
The successful candidate will have...
 
• Minimum of 5 – 7 years post qualification experience in commercial property 
• MRICS / FRICS qualified 
• RICS Registered Valuer (Desirable)
• Ability to manage, develop and motivate team members.
• Full driving licence.
• Excellent organisational and time management skills. 
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• High awareness and concern for customer service requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines and within specific agreed fees.
