Background and industry experienceRobert worked in senior farm and estate management roles for close to twenty years, running a large estate and arable business across multiple sites in Mid Lincolnshire. He graduated with a degree in Agriculture from Wye college and is Basis and Facts qualified. Earlier in his career, Robert ran the in hand farms of a heavy land, diversified estate in Buckinghamshire working within the Bidwells Farm Management structure.
Now with a focus on Agribusiness in the East Midlands, the depth of his practical, commercial and business development experience enable him to offer valuable management services and advice. Robert enjoys being part of the excellent FG Farms team working from his home base in Lincolnshire and the Newark and Market Harborough offices. Business management is the main workstream for clients but helping grow the wider agricultural consultancy services Fisher German offers is proving an exciting opportunity in a rapidly changing industry.
Robert and his wife live on their smallholding in Lincolnshire, with a growing menagerie of animals. The next project is a cider orchard!
When did you join Fisher German?
Why did you join Fisher German?
Because of the people. Those I met when discussing the potential for the role were open and friendly, ambitious and entrepreneurial and clearly proud of what they were doing and achieving. That outlook brings great opportunity for us to offer new and valuable services into our sector.
Most admired, non-property brand?
Playing cricket (while I just about still can) with my best mates for the mighty Revesby CC (a little village team punching above its weight, village cricket still played like it used to be - specifically no electricity or showers, but the Red Lion pub is welcoming just up the road!)
Best holiday destination?
A weekend in Holt before Christmas. Or a sunny week in Val D'isere in late March.
