Background and industry experienceEd joined Fisher German in 2018 as a graduate surveyor, having qualified in Rural Estate and Land Management from the Royal Agricultural University. Since completing his undergraduate in Engineering, Ed followed his passion for country pursuits and worked in the London gun trade at Holts Auctioneers, William Evans and Beretta. Whilst working in London, he joined the Honourable Artillery Company and successfully completed the patrol selection course, as well as conducting numerous field and ceremonial exercises both here and abroad, including the burial of four WW1 soldiers, gun salutes at the Tower of London and Lord Mayors duties.
Choosing to relocate back to the South West, Ed obtained employment in the Defence Sector, specialising in project management posts in weapons, intelligence systems and ‘special projects’ for the Ministry of Defence, where he was responsible for managing resources, schedules, budgets and risks as well as engaging with stakeholders across multiple organisations.
In his spare time Ed enjoys attending auctions and antique fairs, shooting, rugby, playing cricket, looking after the animals on the family small holding as well as being a self-confessed cycling fanatic.
