Background and industry experienceWilliam works in the Rural sector and is based at Market Harborough. His client work focuses on development opportunities, whether that is local small scale schemes on farms or estates, or larger scale residential or commercial developments, as well as development and agricultural agency. He provides specialist advice to landowners and farmers in relation to planning, development agreements and in the sale and acquisition of development land, agricultural land and associated property. William has been in the industry for over 16 years, having trained with Fisher German, and his specialist knowledge in this field enables him to give leading and innovative advice to his clients, with the aim of adding value and looking at the bigger picture.
Having qualified at the Rural Agricultural College, William moved to the business in 2001 and lives on the Northamptonshire/Leicestershire border with his wife and two children.
He enjoys all aspects of rural pursuits and sport generally, and is currently a Trustee and Show Director of the Blaston and District Agricultural Society.

What has been your favourite project and why?
A local site for residential development that has been managed by our Rural team for many years. It was identified as having residential planning potential and we were successful in obtaining planning consent, we then marketed and sold the site and then reinvested the sale proceeds for the Trustees, demonstrating our wide ranging skills being used to provide a good outcome for our client.
