Background and industry experience

Sarah is a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute and a Partner leading the Utilities and Sustainable Energy Planning team. She delivers specialist planning advice for utilities, infrastructure and sustainable energy projects across England, Scotland and Wales. She devises robust strategies to secure the most timely and effective solutions to delivering planning compliance for complex projects of all scales to statutory undertakers, corporate and private clients.

Sarah has considerable private sector experience, having worked at a city centre practice (GVA) for over 10 years. Prior to that, she developed valuable planning skills at a small planning practice and during a short spell in the public sector.

I was ready for a fresh, new challenge and attracted by the partnership approach.

What has been your favourite project and why?
Severn Trent Elan Valley Aqueduct rehabilitation project. High profile tunnelling scheme to improve resilience of water supply from Wales to the West Midlands. This project has an excellent collaborative team working environment and we will have been involved from project inception to completion.
