Background and industry experience

James joined Fisher German in 2016 as an Agency Assistant. In this role he managed the sales and lettings of residential property for the Knutsford office. James is now working as a Commercial Assistant alongside Simon Geary, assisting in all areas concerning commercial property, including agency, rent reviews and valuations. Prior to joining Fisher German, James spent eleven years working in a variety of customer facing, managerial roles. He was introduced to Fisher German through his wife, Jennifer, who formerly worked for the Knutsford office in an administrative role.

James and Jenn live in Mobberley and in their spare time you can find them playing cards in their local pub. James makes time for the occasional run, or running around after two small nephews! He is also an avid rugby fan and supports Jenn’s career in music by attending all her gigs and assisting with sound engineering, to the best of his ability!

About me

What year did you start your job?
Late 2016

Why did you join Fisher German?
It was the perfect opportunity to break into the industry I was interested in with a nationwide, recognised and respected firm.

What has been your favourite project and why?
The recent portfolio valuation carried out for an Estate that our Knutsford office manages. The size of the Estate meant we covered a wide range of properties, from car showrooms to shops, houses, flats and even some woodland along the way!

Best holiday destination?
I’m sure I’m not alone in saying the Maldives! Just a beautiful part of the world with more to do than you may expect. It certainly helps that my wife and I spent half of our honeymoon there!

One item to take to a desert island?
My toothbrush! Watching the survival shows on television, it is the one thing I cannot believe they live without!

What’s your favourite film of all time?
There is no one winner…but the shortlist includes the likes of; Shawshank Redemption, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Legend and (almost) any of the current Marvel films! There is no one winner…but the shortlist includes the likes of; Shawshank Redemption, Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, Legend and (almost) any of the current Marvel films!
