Background and industry experience

Hugh is a Partner based at the Knutsford office with a wide background in estate management and rural general practice work. Hugh manages the varied agricultural, residential and commercial portfolio of the Tatton Estate and acts for other private clients throughout the north-west of England.

Following obtaining a degree in Land Management from the University of Reading in 2004, Hugh worked at a surveying firm in Cheshire where he qualified as a Chartered Surveyor in 2009. He obtained extensive experience working for two surveying companies in Leicestershire, becoming an Agricultural Valuer in 2011. Hugh is a past President of the Cheshire Agricultural Valuers Association.

Hugh joined the Fisher German Knutsford office in 2016 and lives in Cheshire with his young family.

I had regularly come across the company and the dynamic forward thinking of both the management team and employees stood out.

What has been your favourite project and why?
Building relationships with both the clients and the Fisher German team.

Top pastime?
Running - I am a club runner and enjoy the competition of taking part in various races from 5K to marathons.

Best holiday destination?
New Zealand has everything from spectacular scenery to culture and weather

One item to take to a desert island?
A maxi racing yacht so I wouldn't be stranded

There are too many! From gritty thrillers to classic comedies
