Background and industry experience
Greg has been a Chartered Member of the Royal Town Planning Institute since January 2006 and has over 15 years of experience in both private and public sector roles within the planning profession.Greg started his planning career with Arden Acquisition & Planning Ltd as a Graduate Planning Consultant, before moving into Development Management as a Senior Planning Officer and then being promoted to Strategic Implementation Officer within the Implementation Team at Dudley Metropolitan Borough Council. More recently, Greg had been working at WS Atkins (Atkins) as a Principal Planning and Environmental Consultant with a wide range of client interests within the public and private sectors.
Greg originally grew up on his family’s farm in North Worcestershire before attending Pershore and Hindlip (agricultural and horticultural) College studying Land and Environmental Management. Greg then attended the University of Birmingham obtaining a degree and Postgraduate Diploma in Town and Country Planning. Greg then started his career in town planning in circa 2003 and gained Chartership to the Royal Town Planning Institute in 2006.
Greg lives in Worcestershire with his wife and their young children. Greg is interested in architecture, urban design the built heritage and the intrinsic values these disciplines provide to the natural and built environment and our human interaction with them.
Greg enjoys rural pursuits and is a keen sportsman, time permitting, taking part in various individual and team sports.
