What year did you start your job?
Why did you join Fisher German?
I was really keen to become a Chartered Surveyor, but needed further experience and a conversion course due to my original degree. Having acted against Fisher German for a number of years I knew a number of the staff and I felt that Fisher German could really support me in the extra training that I needed to get to my ultimate goal.
What has been your favourite project and why?
I acted for a client a number of years ago, that through my discussions with him I investigated some points he’d raised regarding his telecom site. Following further discussions with the tenant I was able to get a cheque to my client, from the tenant, for nearly £20,000 of unpaid money. Subsequently I had a very happy client!
Most admired, non-property brand?
John Lewis, as I like the fact that everyone who works for them is a shareholder in the business and everyone benefits from the company when it does well.
I absolutely love baking, especially birthday cakes where I can be a bit creative with their design.
Best holiday destination?
Jamaica. We went for 2 weeks at an all-inclusive hotel complex, sampling local food, enjoying the local rum and sports facilities, and the whole holiday was topped off by getting engaged.
One item to take to a desert island?
Factor 50 Sun cream, as unfortunately I burn really easily in the sun.
Who would you like to be stranded in a lift with?
Stephen Fry, as I think he’s really funny, extremely intelligent and would be really interesting to talk to.
What’s your favourite film of all time?
Labyrinth with David Bowie. I’ve loved it since I was a child, especially the songs and the puppets.
