Background and industry experience

Laura’s role is to provide reports to clients over service charge schemes, signage, financial situation and other situation that can occur on the properties we manage.

Laura’s experience in property management started when she was 22 years old after she graduated her Bachelor in Sociology and started working for a company that owned 30 retail properties. She was assigned to negotiate the facility management contracts for the properties and PPM budgeting.

Three years ago, Laura decided to study Facility Management at Edinburgh Napier but after 1 year of study she had to move to Solihull for family reasons. During her time in Edinburgh she had worked for Tesco as a Financial Planner and enjoyed learning from her colleagues.
Laura lives in Solihull, Birmingham where she volunteers at the Shirley Donkeys and Ponies rescue centre.

About me

What has been your favourite project and why?
I was a Project Manager for 4 years for refurbishment of the Romanian national stadium. Is a retractable roof football stadium holding approximate 55.000 people and I was responsible with coordinating the completion of the projects on time within budget and within scope. I had to support the activities of 12 engineers and planners and organize them in order to reach the deadlines. The project budget was around £25 million.
