Nick began his career working within the practical side of agriculture on an arable farm based in Stratford-upon-Avon where he carried out a placement year in 2014/15, following the completion of a degree in Agriculture with Crop Management at Harper Adams University in 2017. He also spent six months living and working in the South Island of New Zealand for a silage contractor, giving him an insight into the agricultural industry abroad.
Outside of work Nick enjoys spending weekends motocrossing with friends at different tracks across the country, including competitions. He also spends as much time as possible on friends’ farms and gets involved whenever he can.
What year did you start your job?
Why did you join Fisher German?
Shortly after my return from New Zealand I realised working on a farm was not what I wanted to do for the rest of my career and I had always enjoyed the business and management side of the industry. Fisher German had a lot of qualities which I felt suited me and involved the tasks I wanted to do, such as a relaxed friendly atmosphere and plenty of time out of the office communicating with farmers and land owners.
