The West Carriage House is a stunning conversion, forming part of an exclusive development of similarly converted buildings, which are Grade II* Listed and are one of the finest surviving examples of late 18th Century carriage yards in the country. The buildings are believed to be one of the few surviving works by Thomas Sandby an architect of London and the first Professor of Architecture at The Royal Academy, who held the post of Architect to the King’s work.


The development was completed in 2010 by an award winning local developer, to an exceptionally high standard of specification and finish throughout.


The West Carriage House is built of Flemish bond red brick under slate roofing, possessing some wonderful architectural detail, including 20-pane sash windows within recessed brick arches and an imposing two-storey gabled porch with grand arched entrance.
