Grasskeep Derbyshire Image

Fisher German is taking applications for a 87.92ha grass keep in Derbyshire.

We are seeking a grazier for an annual grass keep at Manor Farm, near Borrowash, which is available from May until December this year.

The site has live Higher Level Stewardship (HLS) and Severn Trent Environmental Protection Scheme (STEPS) biodiversity agreements in place, and graziers will be required to keep and provide accurate and timely records in relation to these.

Ian McKenzie, Senior Associate, said: “This is an example of an arable farm being reverted back to grassland to help enhance and protect water quality and add soil organic matter to the land to improve soil quality.”

Viewings are by appointment only and will take place on January 18, 19 and 20. The tender deadline is January 29 at 5pm.

Shortlisted applicants will then be interviewed during the week commencing February 8.

The successful applicant may be granted annual grass keep for a further four years should the arrangement be successful.

Further details and appointment bookings are available by contacting Robyn Dearden.
